The Opéra Garnier

The Garnier Opera or the Garnier Palate, is in the north of the Avenue of the Opera, in the IXth district. The theatre, considered as one of the chef d'oeuvre of architecture of its time, is in neo-barocal style. Its construction formed part of the urban revolution undertaken by Haussmann between 1853 and 1869.
